My planning calendar

Discovering Sri Seah’s compact calendar made year long planning much more comprehendable. It’s got the weeks down the left hand side, and then space on the right to pencil things in and see how everything fits. There’s a strong connection to the Cyclogram used by Russian astronauts in the 70s - all critical structure visible, but space for anything extra to breathe. I loved the paper version for planning meetings before remote work entered my life. Since then I’ve been iterating on a google sheets version. The changes I’ve made have been in the “simple always wins” mindset:
- Removed the days. It was too busy, weeks were as granular as I needed
- Added some conditional coloring. Wanted to mark the current week as it’s often a living document
- Added delimiters for quarters. Easier to see monthly/quarterly things
